Article 2: Priors and their Socii (associates) in dependant parishes
More than once a year, when the priors [of dependent parishes] make computations together with the household managers, they shall summon their socii (associates) and on their advice shall discuss the affairs of the household. The priors themselves shall procure their associates in dignified and honest fashion. At least once a year they shall announce the affairs of their households in chapter in the presence of the brothers at the feast of Saint Augustine. Let the priors beware of borrowing without permission more than forty solidi that cannot be repaid by the revenues of their households under the calculation in chapter, unless a reasonable cause intervenes.
