Metal objects, apart from badly rusted nails, have been rare finds at Saint-Jean-des-Vignes. Most common have been a number of bronze shroud pins recovered from intact burials. Also interesting is an undated, small bronze cross bearing a figure of the crucified Jesus on one side and a Virgin and Child on the other.
